Nevada law (NRS 392.040) mandates all children between the ages of 7 and 18 years shall attend school during the time school is in session, otherwise the student may be deemed truant (NRS392.130). If a student is deemed truant three or more times within one school year, he/she may be declared a habitual truant (NRS 392.140).
